“It is heart-wrenching what she doubtlessly went via,” Sgt. Paul Parizek from the Des Moines Police Department told People. “I heard it was once described as [being very similar to] an eight-month-old child being dropped off the roof of a house. It is lovely brutal.”
Hospital body of workers called the police to report the girl’s injuries, as a physician defined she used to be it seems that the victim of an attack and there was once no other strategy to describe her injuries.
Straight, who used to be the one caregiver of the girl that day, was the primary suspect. The man left the health facility after leaving the lady and grew to become himself into police at 2 a.m. on July 15.
Jayden is being held in a jail in Polk County on $750,000 bail. He might be tried as an grownup.
Meanwhile, Raija’s mom, Ri Bambino, held a vigil with the remainder of her friends and family on Monday. More than one hundred other people reunited to say for justice and honor the memory of the infant by maintaining balloons, candles and signs that read “Long Live Raija,” “Justice for Raija” and more.
Robin Head, Raija’s great-grandmother, said tearfully:
“When I noticed this kid's face and what she has brought to me for the remaining 8 months of her existence. I can't never explain that feeling of protecting her, laughing with her, touching her, walking with her, crawling with her.”
Head recalled it was exhausting to keep up with the little lady, who's remembered as an lively, glad soul. “She stored going, and she or he stored going, and we just adopted in conjunction with those footsteps, 'Go anyplace you want to move, Raija,” she mentioned.
“And that is what she's gonna do, she's gonna be with us, and she's gonna pass anyplace God can send her.”
